Sizing & Limits

A copied buy is never the target's size by default. The task turns the observed trade into your own amount, then every limit gets a say and the smallest one left wins.

Two sizing modes

Fixed amount

Spend the same SOL amount on every eligible buy, whatever the wallet spent. Best when the target trades in sizes far from yours.

Share of the wallet's trade

Spend a percentage of the SOL the wallet put in, so conviction scales your size. A share of the wallet's whole portfolio is not offered, because a wallet's full holdings cannot be known safely.

A worked example

Per-trade cap: 0.3 SOL	0.3 SOL	The cap is smaller, so it wins.
Per-token cap: 1 SOL, 0.8 already spent	0.2 SOL	Only 0.2 SOL is left for this token.
Total budget: 5 SOL, 1.5 already spent	0.2 SOL	3.5 SOL left, so no change.
Copied buy	0.2 SOL	The smallest remaining limit decided.

Every limit

Limit	What it does
Per-trade cap	The most one copied buy can spend. Cannot exceed the per-token cap.
Per-token cap	The most the task spends on one token across all its buys. Cannot exceed the total budget.
Total budget	Everything the task may spend. Paper and Live are counted separately, so paper fills never use up the Live budget.
Trade-size ceiling	No copied buy exceeds 100 times the Auto Trader’s trade size, whatever the task allows.
Minimum size	A buy that resolves below 0.001 SOL is skipped, never rounded up.
Slippage	Set per task, above 0 and at most 50%. New tasks start from the global default of 2%.

Skips sizing can produce

These appear in the task's Activity tab under Skips, with the limit that applied.

Activity shows	Meaning
Task budget is spent	Less than 0.001 SOL of the total budget is left.
Per-token limit reached	Less than 0.001 SOL of this token’s cap is left.
Copy size too small	After every cap, the buy is under 0.001 SOL.
Target trade below the minimum	The wallet’s buy is smaller than your smallest wallet trade copied.
Target trade above the maximum	The wallet’s buy is larger than your largest wallet trade copied.
Already bought this token (buy once)	Buy each token once is on and the task already bought it.
