What the Take Profit tab is for

Take Profit is the simplest profit-taking rule in Auto Trader. When enabled, it compares live position ROI with one configured target and exits the full position when the target is reached.

Reading the interface

Use each control with the rest of the automated trading pipeline in mind.

Target configuration

One switch and one target define the rule.

Enable ROI Exit

Allows the exit evaluator to act when the position reaches the target.

Target Profit

A value such as 20 represents a +20% ROI target, not a 20x price multiple.

Full close

The current Take Profit rule exits the entire position when triggered.

Interaction with other exits

Only one exit decision is needed for a monitoring cycle.

Protective rules first

Emergency, stop-loss, and trailing-stop decisions are evaluated ahead of Take Profit.

Time rules later

Take Profit is evaluated before the time-based loss override.

Strategy exits

Custom EXIT strategies remain available for more complex profit logic.

Recommended workflow

  1. 1

Choose a realistic ROI target for the volatility and liquidity of the tokens you trade.

  2. 2

Enable the rule and save its configuration card.

  3. 3

Compare it with the trailing-stop activation so the two rules express the intended exit plan.

  4. 4

Confirm the exit monitor is enabled in Stats.

Practical guidance

  • Use a custom EXIT strategy when one fixed ROI target is not expressive enough.
  • A target can be reached briefly between candle closes because execution uses live pool prices.
  • Account for liquidity, slippage, and fees when choosing the target.
