Paper Trading
Paper keeps a simulated book for each task, so its results show what Live would have done under the same rules without spending SOL. Every new task and every clone starts here.
How the Paper book trades
- Buys fill at the live pool price with your slippage, the 0.5% swap fee, and network and priority fees.
- Mirrored wallet sells sell the same fraction of the paper holding at the price when the decision was made.
- Your exit rules run against paper holdings with the same evaluators Live uses. With Mirror wallet sells, paper exits wait for the wallet's sells, as they would in Live.
- Open holdings are marked to live pool prices; each closed holding becomes a round with realized P&L.
- Paper spending has its own counters, so a busy paper book never uses up the Live budget.
Paper tasks only trade while copy processing is on: the page header reads Processing, not Paused globally.
Managing the book
From the Holdings tab you can close a paper holding by hand, write off one that has no price, or reset the whole paper book. To try different rules on the same wallet, clone the task and let both books run side by side.
What Paper cannot show
Paper cannot reproduce failed submissions, confirmation delays, or the liquidity your own buy would move. Judge it over many rounds, including rapid sequences, wallet sells and skips, not a few good entries. When the rounds hold up, read the workspace and then go Live.
