Install ScreenerBot on Windows

Install the native desktop app on Windows 10 or Windows 11 using the architecture-specific MSI, or use the portable ZIP without system installation.

Getting Started/Installation/Windows

Operating system

Windows 10 or Windows 11

Architecture

x64 or ARM64

Recommended

MSI installer

Data

Stored under Local AppData

Before you download

Most Windows PCs use x64. Choose ARM64 only when Windows Settings → System → About reports an ARM-based processor.

Open verified downloads

System requirements

  • 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11
  • x64 for Intel/AMD PCs, or ARM64 for supported ARM devices
  • 4 CPU cores and 4 GB RAM minimum; 8 GB RAM recommended
  • 5 GB free disk space for the app and local runtime data

Choose the package deliberately

Recommended

MSI installer

Installs ScreenerBot with normal Windows application registration and uninstall support.

Alternative

Portable ZIP

Runs from an extracted directory and does not register a normal installed application.

Install the selected package

Follow only the method that matches the file you downloaded. Do not mix package and portable steps.

MSI installer

Recommended

Installs ScreenerBot with normal Windows application registration and uninstall support.

  1. 1

Download the MSI matching x64 or ARM64.

  2. 2

Open the MSI and approve the Windows installer prompt.

  3. 3

Choose the installation directory or keep the default.

  4. 4

Finish the wizard, then open ScreenerBot from Start.

Portable ZIP

Alternative

Runs from an extracted directory and does not register a normal installed application.

  1. 1

Download the ZIP matching x64 or ARM64.

  2. 2

Extract the complete archive to a stable directory.

  3. 3

Run ScreenerBot.exe from the extracted application folder.

  4. 4

Keep every extracted file together when moving the portable app.

Only bypass SmartScreen after confirming the file came from screenerbot.io and its full SHA-256 value matches the release page.

Verify the first launch

  1. 1

Launch ScreenerBot from Start or the extracted portable directory.

  2. 2

Confirm the native app window opens and the first-run setup is visible.

  3. 3

Confirm the Local AppData directory is created after first launch.

  4. 4

Review wallet, RPC, risk, and automation settings before funding the trading wallet.

Local data directory

%LOCALAPPDATA%\ScreenerBot

Press Win+R, paste the path, and press Enter.

Configuration, encrypted wallet material, databases, and logs persist here independently of the installed application.

Troubleshooting

Resolve installation and first-launch problems without deleting the data directory unless a guide explicitly requires it.

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen appears

Confirm the filename and checksum match the release page. If the verified release is still blocked, choose More info and Run anyway.

The MSI reports a permissions error

Sign in with an account allowed to install software, or open an elevated Command Prompt and run the MSI explicitly.

msiexec /i ScreenerBot.msi

A Visual C++ runtime error appears

Install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable matching the machine architecture, then reopen ScreenerBot.

The portable app is incomplete

Extract the full ZIP again. Running the executable directly inside the archive or separating it from its resources will fail.

Uninstalling

  1. 01Quit ScreenerBot completely.
  2. 02For MSI installs, open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
  3. 03Select ScreenerBot and choose Uninstall.
  4. 04For portable installs, remove the extracted application directory.

Application removal is not data removal

Uninstalling the application keeps wallets, configuration, databases, and logs in Local AppData. Back up what you need before deleting that directory.
