Install ScreenerBot on macOS

Choose the build that matches your Mac, install the native desktop app, and complete the first launch without weakening system-wide security settings.

Getting Started/Installation/macOS

Operating system

macOS 11 Big Sur or later

Architecture

Apple Silicon or Intel

Recommended

Architecture-specific DMG

Data

Stored in your user Library

Before you download

The release catalog provides separate Apple Silicon and Intel files. Open Apple menu → About This Mac if you are unsure which processor your Mac uses.

Open verified downloads

System requirements

  • macOS 11 Big Sur or later
  • Apple Silicon for M-series Macs, or Intel x64 for Intel Macs
  • 4 CPU cores and 4 GB RAM minimum; 8 GB RAM recommended
  • 5 GB free disk space for the app and local runtime data

Choose the package deliberately

Recommended

DMG installer

The standard macOS installation flow with an Applications shortcut.

Alternative

Portable ZIP

Use the ZIP when you need the app bundle without a mounted DMG workflow.

Install the selected package

Follow only the method that matches the file you downloaded. Do not mix package and portable steps.

DMG installer

Recommended

The standard macOS installation flow with an Applications shortcut.

  1. 1

Download the DMG for Apple Silicon or Intel from the verified download page.

  2. 2

Open the DMG and drag ScreenerBot into Applications.

  3. 3

Eject the mounted installer after the copy finishes.

  4. 4

On first launch, Control-click ScreenerBot in Applications and choose Open.

  5. 5

Confirm Open in the macOS security dialog.

Portable ZIP

Alternative

Use the ZIP when you need the app bundle without a mounted DMG workflow.

  1. 1

Download the ZIP that matches the Mac architecture.

  2. 2

Extract the archive and move ScreenerBot.app into Applications.

  3. 3

Use Control-click → Open for the first launch if Gatekeeper asks for confirmation.

Do not disable Gatekeeper globally. Use the per-app Open flow only after verifying the download and checksum.

Verify the first launch

  1. 1

Launch ScreenerBot from Applications and confirm the native app window opens.

  2. 2

Complete or intentionally skip the first-run setup; the dashboard should render inside the desktop app.

  3. 3

Confirm the local data directory is created after first launch.

  4. 4

Keep automated trading disabled until wallet, RPC, filtering, sizing, and exit controls are reviewed.

Local data directory

~/Library/Application Support/ScreenerBot

In Finder choose Go → Go to Folder, then paste the path.

Configuration, encrypted wallet material, databases, and logs persist here independently of the installed application.

Troubleshooting

Resolve installation and first-launch problems without deleting the data directory unless a guide explicitly requires it.

macOS blocks the first launch

Control-click the app in Applications, select Open, and confirm the dialog. You can also use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.

“ScreenerBot is damaged and can’t be opened”

First verify the release checksum and confirm the file came from screenerbot.io. If macOS only retained an incorrect quarantine state, clear it for this app bundle and launch again.

xattr -cr /Applications/ScreenerBot.app

The app stops opening after a macOS update

Recheck Privacy & Security permissions, then install the current release over the existing app. Runtime data remains in the user data directory.

Uninstalling

  1. 01Quit ScreenerBot completely.
  2. 02Move ScreenerBot.app from Applications to Trash.
  3. 03Empty Trash when you no longer need the installed app.

Application removal is not data removal

Removing the app does not remove wallets, configuration, databases, or logs. Back up what you need before deleting the data directory manually.
