Cal Ripken Jr 1983 World Ser 37
On October 16, 1983, during Game 5 of the 80th edition of the World Series, Baltimore pitcher Scott McGregor got Phillies outfielder Gary Maddux to line out to shortstop Cal Rikpen Jr. to end the game and give Baltimore a 4-1 series win over Philadelphia at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia, PA. Dubbed the I-95 Series, this marked the Orioles’ third overall championship and their first World Series title since 1970. Cal Ripken Jr. used this glove to secure the final out in the 1983 World Series. For the first time, Cal Ripken Jr. has shared memorabilia from his personal collection for collectors and fans to enjoy. Cal selected pieces from his historical baseball highlights with Candy Digital for high resolution volumetric scans - to create photorealistic digital versions of highlights from his legendary career. Reflecting every scuff and scratch, these scans are as close to the real thing you can get - unless you're the Iron Man himself.
